Hi Jason :) I have seen some kits online that people use the insulation with. Personally I don't use that - just nice grippy gaff tape and some other vinyl or fancy tape for decoratin' :) I put the gaff tape on last to cover the edges of the other tapes! Have fun with the process!

I'm making my first hoop today.
I bought the copper pipe insulation that Jason mentions - but it doesn't LOOK like anybody uses it - do you? Or do you just tape over the piping?

so im thinking of making a hoop with fabric...somewhat fur like...but not super furry....(like those boot covers you see)
i was wondering, if its possible to make it using one stripe of fabric, and a stripe of metallic or glitter tape, and using gaffer as the in between to over lap the two....or if the gaffer will just peel off the fabric part?

Thoughts on adding water to hoops. Consensus is that the majority of people dislike water hoops, except maybe on a fur-covered hoops. For a heavier hoops use higher psi or more tape instead.

Collection threads are a resource tool to help make searching for information easier. These are not actual discussion areas, just a gathering place where tribe members will add links to threads with information on the collection topic. Please feel free to revive any of these older thread by posting a reply within that thread, which will move it up to the top of the active threads list.

When adding a new link to a collection thread, please include this information:

Link
Thread Title
Original Poster
Date of Original Post
Number of Replies

.. and then provide a brief description of the content of that thread, so that searchers will know if the thread is likely to contain the information they need.

Thanks for your help!
