Unbelievable ;-(

So...this one club that we always took hoops to will not let us take them in due to the fact that they could become "potential weapons"!!!! We had taken them in for months and months and now this, ugh ;-(

It sucks, but we've decided to just boycott this club now and the crazy part is the ONLY time they ever get anyone in this place is when we all go out ;-(

Kinda makes me concerned tho' when the place we are going to feels a freaking hoop could be a weapon, hmmmmm.........

    Do you thin kmaybe they don't actually mean weapon but are worried about a stray hoop hurting a customer? beacuse i'm sure that would not be covered by their insureance? It sucks but it sounds like they just don't want to get in trouble.

    Do you think you might have a better chance if you were to get your own liabilty insurance?

        No, I don't think that is it, this guy is a douche that owns the place and I think he is just doing this to be an ass. Normally this place on a "busy" night might have 15 to 20 peeps in it, and the only times that it gets a good amount of business is when our "crew" is doing a night there of D.J.'s so it sucks, and we had taken them in so many times and when it does get busier the hoops go "stand" in a corner and he knows this so I think he is just being shitty to us about it cuz he can't bring anyone in on his own ;-(

        But, on the bright side, our little tiny place we do thursday at, they love it when we have our hoops and only one hoop can go at time in there and they don't care because we have "hoop etiquette" ;-)

          Hmm well i supose it is his clubs so it really is up to him, there probably is a reason maybe you should ask?
          But on the up side why would you want to be supporting a club with that attitude any way.

    Aw, that's no good. We fun mongers with our hula hoops... always causing trouble. ;) Oh well, maybe they'll change their tune once people start missing the entertainment.

        I am hoping hoopers are not getting a bad rap.
        A friend of mine said that some people - who watch t.v. might notice hoopers at festivals and protests.. & think we are a bunch of riff raff!

          I certainly hope not, but, yeah, it is always a possibility. We practice such major hoop etiquette when we are out and about and usually have very positive responses except of course in this instance.

          Hee.....heeee.....but aren't we all riff raff anywhos ;-) Oh, how I love that term...RIFF RAFF, makes me giggle ;-)
