That's almost as big as asking what's my favorite hoop
Thu, May 25, 2006 - 12:03 PMI have an mp3 player full of all sorts of stuff, classic rock to real classics. Mostly, I let it play random and skip ahead if I'm not in the mood for a particular number.
Fanfare for the Common Man.
Moonlight Sonata
Blue Danube waltz.
Try 'em. The first two bring out completely different kinds of hooping, and the third is as energetic as anything you'll find in a club. -

Re: what's your favorite music to hoop to?
Thu, May 25, 2006 - 2:36 PMsomething sexy! anything i would bump it with a ho to is great for hooping. sometimes i imagine some fine honey spread all out and lookin' ripe and delicious, and i'm just hoopin' that girl and hoopin' that girl, and she's like, "more! more! more! "

Re: what's your favorite music to hoop to?
Thu, May 25, 2006 - 3:05 PMNope: it's just a reminder that it's always a good idea to search the archives for existing threads on the same subject, and bump those threads instead of starting new ones. It's not a big deal, but these are the little things moderators think about. -

Thu, May 25, 2006 - 10:27 PMI think she just means restart the discussion in the old thread, which brings it back up to the top of the list. :) -

Re: pardon me.
Fri, May 26, 2006 - 12:40 AMThat's exactly what I mean. Thanks, Chris! :)
That way we don't have, say, 40 threads all about bruising.

Duplicate threads
Fri, May 26, 2006 - 5:58 AMIn general, communities that thrive don't repeat the same thread over and over and over. -

Re: Duplicate threads
Fri, May 26, 2006 - 7:55 AMI see
I have never been asked "not too" start a new thread any where on tribe before
or respond to a new thread covering the same topic on any of my other tribes; to date
the truth is I just jumped in (again) and started asking questions w/o reading about this tribe first
most people are kind enough to let me do whatever it is I am doing as long as I have not offended anyone
I suppose they understand or know that I am "new" to their tribe
and welcome me as I am, which is new to their ways of doing things
and I say "again" because I left this tribe when I first signed on to Tribe.net because I didn't feel welcomed here
in fact I felt like there was a lot of talk of community, sharing and love with no action towards me to back that up
I detected what I felt was competitive, guarded, holier-than-thou attitudes which is uncommon in my experience in meeting hoopers in the flesh
Im just a woman that loves to hoop and by no means is an expert on anything
I love meeting new people, learning and growing from all my experiences
and this has been one of them
(read their rules first ;-))
I understand your views and I am glad to know what I "thought/felt" at first is untrue
thank you for making them a bit clearer for me/us
I apologize if I offended anyone in responding to a repeat thread, that was not my intention
wonder if there is a way to merge the two threads?

Re: what's your favorite music to hoop to?
Fri, May 26, 2006 - 10:26 AMIn my experience, since they changed the tribe format, you can't go to the next page of posts and see all the old ones. What you see on the first page is what you get. I asked one of the tribe workers and he says it took up too much memory. so I just went to the spot where it says search this tribe, and typed in "favorite music" and it said there were no results for my search. -

Re: what's your favorite music to hoop to?
Fri, May 26, 2006 - 10:43 AMIf you just type in "music" you'll get a lot, it's better to simplify search topics.
I really like to listen to Groove Salad on Soma FM, and want to hoop to most of their playlist. They are on Itunes radio under electronica.
