    <summary type="html">Well, this post is quite old so you have probably already figured this out, but I am going to reply just in case someone else with the same question swings by.&#xD;

You would seal the unprotected ends by wrapping a piece of clear tape around it or a thin strip of gaffa if you are using griptape around the hoop (clear tape doesnt look very good over gaffa griptape)</summary>

    <summary type="html">Hi!  I am making a collapsible hoop as a gift.  It has 5 pull-apart sections.  I am using 3 tape colors, one of them being metallic silver.   I know I must lay the silver tape first, so the other other 2 tape colors will cover and protect the edges of the silver tape.  I am concerned, however, that the edge where the sections of the hoop meet will have a small edge of unprotected silver.  Does anyone know if this will be a problem?  Is there anything I should do to protect those edges?  Maybe I could find a clear tape to cover the edges where the sections meet(?)  Thanks so much.  You guys have helped me in the past.</summary>
