I've looked at the site quite a bit already and made myself an account. I was just curious if the web tutorials are worth the monies(that's 3+ months of dance class for me). I really just want to learn some more moves (I don't feel like i need that much help incorporating them into my dance) and I just didn't want to buy the things and not find them usefu or too basicl. I enjoy interactive online communities ( I have more accounts than I can count on two hands that I already keep up with and have to manage), but I don't have the internet at home, and have to find a place to use it every time. That's why a tangilble DVD option would be best for me.
Thanks for the info, I'll have to contemplate the tutorials some more :)

Did you watch the video on how her classes work? It's not just tutorials. You belong to a class (forever) where you can get feedback and advice.. beyond the tutorials. You can also click on View Class Outline to see what moves are covered in the class. The class is broken down to 6 sessions with 3-5 tutorials in each session. She has tutorials for each move that describe how to exicute and work up to the moves. You can then respond to the discussion for more info, tips and help if you are struggling. SaFire is very approachable and very helpful. She is also going to be implimenting Full Class Sessions which will take the moves learned in each session and put together more info on how to dance with the moves and other stuff.

I have found her class set up to be really informative and well worth the money. It's the next best thing to having an instructor in person... and in some ways even better as you can take your class at anytime you want at any speed you want... and over and over again. DVDs just do not compare.

I highly recommend her classes and the community they are on (which is free and so awesome)! :-) Take a few minutes to browse around her site and you should find more answers to you questions.

Minis Series - Level One and Two

Wanna play with mini hoops! Here's the place for you. Mini hoops have been gaining popularity over the past couple of years. Here we will learn a series of poi style mini hoop moves that will open up a whole new world of hooping. The majority of these moves can also be done with larger hoops as well so if you're interested in working with twins then this class can be a great introduction to working with two hoops at once. Check out the class outlines for a list of the moves taught in each class.

poi inspired hooping eh.
Try with one hand 1st until you get that movement down until its automatic (you don't have to think about it) then do the same with the other hand, and the try to combine both hands. Also try the moves with poi or glowsticks just to get an idea f what you have to do, plus takes up less space if you don't have much to begin with. For example, if it's thread the needle move, try it with sock poi and then move to hoops, even though it will be a little bit different, at least you have an idea of how to do the move. Take your time and practice practice!! Enjoy!
